FUNDRAISING

Unfortunately Covid restrictions preclude our usual large fundraising events during the year, but we will resume when permitted

However,

Rab nurtures a nursery at Echo Sound in support of the Ministry. Many of the plants and shrubs are visible in the prayer garden at 162. Please ask in the office for advice, a tour of the garden or if you would like to know what is available.

And,

Throughout the year supporters kindly donate a wide range of items for sale; clothes, shoes, fine art, furniture, jewellery and these are on view at 162. High quality is maintained. Please call in and ask to see the items.

The Craft Group who meet on Mondays create seasonal and personal items throughout the year to help our finances. These can be viewed in 162.

CROSS IN MY POCKET

We continue to create and sell this very popular ‘Cross in my Pocket’ at £2.00 each (plus P & P), which have been beautifully designed by the late Miss Greta Walker, who was one of our constant supporters.

These items are in great demand, being treasured by clergy and laity, and this has proved to be a wonderful ministry. They usually have to be ordered due to demand.

The Cross in my Pocket is a perfect gift for someone you wish to encourage in their faith, each little pocket carries a small cross and the words

I carry a cross in my pocket

a simple reminder to me

of the fact that I am a Christian

no matter where I may be.

This little cross is not magic

nor is it a good luck charm

it isn’t meant to protect me

from every physical harm.

It’s not for identification

for all the world to see

It’s simply an understanding

between my Saviour and me.

When I put my hand in my pocket

to pull out a coin or a key

the cross is there to remind me

of the price He paid for me.

It reminds me to be thankful

for my blessings day by day

to strive to serve Him better

in all I do and say.

It’s also a daily reminder

of the peace and comfort I share

with all who know my Master

and give themselves to His care.

So I carry a cross in my pocket

reminding no-one but me

that JESUS CHRIST is LORD of my life

if only I’ll let Him be

Personal Donation Box

Please consider keeping a home donation box in which to place your small change. The money soon mounts up and when appropriate you can either count them and send in a cheque, or leave box with the office, and collect a new one.

Also, if you have one, why not ask a friend to take one to help the ministry?
