Prayerlines and intercessions

We offer one-to-one prayer by phone or appointment.

The regular Prayerline, 028 9079 5832, goes out to prayer teams for daily intercession and in-house intercession for a period of 30 days, which can be renewed by request to the office. Please leave a Christian name or alias for confidentiality, and the reason for the prayer request. Feedback is welcomed.

If the request is an emergency, it will be passed immediately to the Emergency Prayerline.

We undertake weekly prayers for peace and reconciliation for people and places.

Intercessions are also made at the weekly healing service in Belfast Cathedral on Fridays at 1.00pm, on alternate Tuesdays in 162 Upper Knockbreda Road at 10.00am (see diary dates), on the monthly healing service in Down Cathedral on Fridays at 1.00pm, and at any other healing service taking place.

Prayer for Israel and the Nations, and for the persecuted Christian Church is undertaken on a monthly intercession in 162 Upper Knockbreda Road on the second Tuesday of the month at 11.00am.

Psalm 122

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem!
“May they be secure who love you!
Peace be within your walls
and security within your towers!”
For my brothers and companions’ sake
I will say, “Peace be within you!”
For the sake of the house of the Lord our God,
I will seek your good

We discuss what is happening in Israel and also around the world over a cup of coffee.

We then proceed to pray for any difficult situations in Israel and worldwide including our own Province of Northern Ireland. This can be very enlightening and challenges us to pray wider than our own limited areas of concern.

Orleen, our co-ordinator writes;

You are invited to join us as we intercede for the troubled regions of the world and for the persecuted Christian Churches. Our focus is mainly on the Middle East and on the nation of Israel because God has commanded us to pray for the Peace of Jerusalem (Psalm 122:6; Isaiah 62: 6-7. Psalm 102:13 and Joel 2: 17).

We pray for the nations and their leaders.

We pray for Christians persecuted across the world.

After prayer time we have refreshments and a time to chat in the common room and catch up with our own situations.

God said, “I will bless those who bless you…” (Genesis 12:3; Romans 15:27).

Shalom
